RESTYLANE®
Restylane® Perlane® is a safe and natural cosmetic dermal filler that restores volume and fullness to the skin to correct facial wrinkles and folds, such as nasolabial folds. Restylane® Perlane® is a cosmetic dermal filler made of hyaluronic acid, a natural substance that already exists in the human body. The hyaluronic acid in Restylane® Perlane® is a crystal-clear gel called NASHA™ or Non-Animal Stabilized Hyaluronic Acid. NASHA is completely biocompatible with human hyaluronic acid.
Restylane® Perlane® restores volume and fullness to the skin to correct moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as the lines from your nose to the corners of your mouth (nasolabial folds). After your treatment, you might have some swelling, redness, pain, bruising, and tenderness. This will normally last less than seven days. Although rare, red or swollen small bumps may occur. If you have had facial cold sores before, an injection can cause another outbreak. In rare circumstances, the doctor may inject into a blood vessel, which can damage the skin. To avoid bruising or bleeding, you should not use Restylane® Perlane® if you have recently used drugs that thin your blood or prevent clotting. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or under 18, you should not use Restylane® Perlane®.

PERLANE®
Perlane® is also a hyaluronic acid based fillers only more dense
dermal filler and is usually injected deeper, with a
slightly larger needle. Larger particles allow for more
volume expansion, so we use it when we need to create
more diffuse volume increase with perhaps less finesse.
The difference is in the particle size, with the Perlane
having much larger particles. This in turn translates
into the way we inject i example, we use it for cheek
and chin contouring, correcting deep nasolabial fold
defects, or when large volume increase is needed in the
lips. Since it is injected in bigger "chunks",
it usually lasts longer than Restylane® as well.
