I work very closely with the following amazing practitioners by referring my clients to them, having them provide complimentary seminars at my location and/or receive services by them as a client and experience first hand their work.

Ralph Wittenberg is a recognized authority on holistic healthcare, particularly as it relates to heart disease. He is a psychotherapist and a Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at the George Washington University School of Medicine. He is both a participant and a facilitator of the Dean Ornish Program to reverse heart disease. He believes that good medical care should include alternative therapies, particularly yoga and breath work.

He believes that healing is a mystery. The role of healers is to create the conditions in which healing can take place. He refers to these treatments as Love Applications. He believes that powerful feelings that are not expressed in words either go into the body and create the complete range of diseases or create automatic self destructive behavior. He also believes that no one treatment is sufficient by itself. So, part of his program is connecting people with optimal alternative treatment modalities.

The outcomes are not measured by reduction in symptoms alone; but, rather in improvements in the quality of life. He offers a program in D.C. centered on group psychotherapy.
Wittenberg received his B.A. from Wayne State University in 1956 and his medical degree from the Wayne State University School of Medicine in 1960.

rebekah Rebekah Kelley:

I am a graduate from Columbia University’s Teachers College and the Institute for Integrative Nutrition as a Health Counselor (CHHC) certified by the American Association of Drugless Practitioners (AADP). The Institute for Integrative Nutrition is the only school in the world teaching all the different dietary theories. Everything from the traditional to the scientific; from the east to the west; from the ancient traditions of macrobiotics, ayurveda and Chinese medicine to modern dietary theories like the USDA Healthy Eating Pyramid, the Zone, and The South Beach Diet. But most importantly it is about listening to the intelligence within the body, given the right foods and nutrition, the body will heal itself. The program focuses on how to feed your body intuitively in order to positively affect mood, energy level and overall sense of well-being. It truly is a program that believes and respects the bio-individuality of every person.

I lived and prepared meals in the organic kitchen of Esalen, a holistic center in Big Sur. Understanding the important of quality ingredients, and positive intention, I have developed menus for busy professionals, consulted in a holistic apothecary, and studied under some of the best teachers/professionals in their field, and I find that the most effective strategy is to listen to your body, give it the nutrition (and care) it needs, and it has this amazing capacity to balance and heal itself.

I invite you to a free initial consultation to discuss your health history, your concerns and goals, as well as what you have always imagined for your life. This free, one-hour session is a great way for you to get a feel for how I work with clients, and to see if we are a good match. Please email me at Rebekah_Kelley@msn.com or call me at 202-957-4965.

Bev Hitchens

Bev Hitchins is the owner of ALIGN, A Unique and Integrative Approach to Clutter and Balance. When her mother died in 1990, she drove a huge truck with the contents from her mother’s home in Florida to Virginia, where she promptly put it in storage for 9 years. Only in 1999 did she begin the de-cluttering process. This led to starting her thriving de-cluttering business in 2005.

Bev’s believes that clutter is a reflection of one’s spirit and that de-cluttering is a transformative process. She helps clients to see their clutter in different ways by shifting their focus from the material to what it represents. In the process she uses a variety of tools to engage the whole brain.

Bev offers workshops and classes on “Clutter Clearing is Spiritual Business!” as well as teleclasses that allow participants to de-clutter independently within a structured format. She also facilitates a bi-weekly clutter clearing circle to jumpstart and maintain the de-cluttering process.

Saied Jamshidi, M.D., P.C., is a board certified neurosurgeon with over 20 years of experience. Dr. Jamshidi is a dedicated, hardworking doctor whose patients hold him in the highest regard and consider himself or herself lucky to be in his care.

Saied Jamshidi, M.D. has recently received the award of Certificate of Meritorious Service from the Medical Society of the District of Columbia. He was chosen by the numerous tributes received from both grateful patients and respectful colleagues. "Skill" and "compassion" – two of the most important qualities patients desire in their doctors – were the two most common words found in the numerous tributes. Nomination after nomination described in detail Dr. Jamshidi’s surgical skill, clarity of thought, concentration of task, keen observation abilities, sense of authority, and mostly, his kind, considerate and caring nature.

Throughout his many years of practice, his compassion and patience shown for both his patients and their families have not only been greatly appreciated, but have been an inspiration to his medical colleagues. As one of his patient’s sons wrote, "Words simply do not adequately express our deepest and heart felt gratitude for Dr. Jamshidi. He has many times over earned our respect, confidence and admiration. A physician who demonstrates the genuine care and concern over a patient, as did Dr. Jamshidi is a rare find. He is truly a man of integrity and a credit to the medical profession."
Another patient writes, "…It will be helpful for you to know that I am a nurse, and gave 40 years of my life to caring for others and working with many men and women in the medical profession. I feel I am well-qualified to give a professional and personal evaluation and opinion of Dr. Jamshidi’s work and character…Prior to our meeting, I had experienced many years of pain and suffering with my neck and back and endured several surgeries by another neurosurgeon…the other surgeon botched his job of removing a cervical disc by leaving part of the disc behind…He refused to admit his mistake…Then I met Dr. Jamshidi, who immediately gave me the assurance and hope that he could help me—and help me he did! On a professional level, Dr. Jamshidi carries out his medical practice by the highest standards possible. He keeps himself informed of all the current information and knowledge available in medicine. His bedside manner is beyond reproach. He is never so busy that he is not able to provide his patients with the proper care and attention they need. His office staff mirrors his high quality of service and are always cheerful, willing, and helpful in their relationship with his patients."

Renowned public relations manager Edith M. Jones of the World Vision relief organization in a self-profile in the Washington Times dated March 25, 1997 listed as her Inspiration "Mother Teresa and Dr. Saied Jamshidi, my brain surgeon".

These previous patient testimonials are a testament to his work. They are just a few of many letters that are in Dr. Jamshidi’s portfolio available for you to review. These documents prove that he is a caring human being, a fine Neurosurgeon who has saved countless lives, and a man whose high majority of surgeries have had excellent outcomes.

Dr. Jamshidi's medical practice began at Tehran University School of Medicine, followed by residency at Queen Pahlavi Foundation, Cardiovascular Surgery, Cardiovascular Medical Center, and George Washington University Hospital Neurosurgery. Dr. Jamshidi completed his internship at the Rochester University School of Medicine in Rochester, New York.
